Headwaters Foundation invited 13 local artists to share their vision and voice in the inaugural 2021 Transformation Calendar. It was a project designed to express the appreciation to HFJ donor community—and to show love to our community's creatives. The goal was for each artist to share art and thoughts that respond to the idea of TRANSFORMATION.

My artwork showcases beauty before the calamity. It is about representing the hardworking black and brown people who hustle daily to strengthen their businesses and communities. Lake Street has a special place in our heart because it supplies us with a variety of food, music, clothing, art and jobs. The recent damage to Lake Street falls on the Minneapolis Police Department and their inability to protect its people. I believe in our city to be resilient through this injustice.”
